The Dutch Government have issued a statement that they will allow surgeons to use Polyurethane and textured implants. The authorities have however, stressed very clearly that the patient must be informed of the possible risks when the consultation is held. This leaves the French government the only country issuing a ban of textured implants in Europe.
EASAPS is working on guidelines and patient consent forms for all European Societies to distribute and adapt to their country.
