The patient has a rights to be informed and to choose.Our efforts are aimed towards defining basic guidelines ensuring that in each country patient safety in plastic and aesthetic surgery is guaranteed. In addition to focusing to care of the individual patient, we are committed to addressing systems of care by implementing evidence-based practices as critical components of both ensuring patient safety and maintaining the highest standards of health service quality.

The guidelines cover all procedures including consultations with patients for both clinical and non clinical procedures, operation rooms procedures, procedures for post-operative patient care, advice and follow up, with particular emphasis on aligning facility accreditation standards with level of services provided in the field of plastic and aesthetic surgery.

Violeta Skorobac Asanin

 Main plastic surgeon and the owner of the Special hospital Diona, Violeta Skorobac
Asanin M.D. MSc, a specialist in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, is skilled in
many areas of plastic surgery, which she practices for the last 17 years in her private
practice. Currently she is a PhD candidate in the field of lipo-transfers and the research
of the extraction of stem cells from the fat tissue.
Dr Violeta Skorobac Asanin opened the DIONA hospital in 2000, was the first women in
Serbia that founded and run private practice in the area of plastic, reconstructive and
aesthetic surgery.
Dr. Skorobac Asanin is internationally recognized for her expertise and has perfected
her knowledge and skills by practicing in a number of plastic surgery clinics worldwide:
Italy, Canada, Greece, Russia, Brazil and USA. She has been a contributor and participant
at numerous medical experts’ gatherings and, among other achievements; she has been
granted the top USA award for best results in treating the overweight by ultrasonic
liposculpture. Also, she is one of the initiators that the mastectomy reconstruction is
introduced in the oncology protocol, by which all women in Serbia in need for such
intervention got it free of charge. In 2012, she has been awarded by prestigious Serbian
award for the best women entrepreneur in Serbia.
As of 2012 Dr Skorobac Asanin is the ISAPS National Secretary of Serbia, reelected until
2020. She is also an honorary member of the Rumanian Association of aesthetic
surgeons, Board member of the Serbian Medical Association, Executive Board member
at the Serbian Association of Private Healthcare Providers, and President of Serbian
Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (SRBSAPS).
She is a participant at numerous medical congresses organized both in Europe and all
over the world, as the faculty and expert.
Dr Skorobac Asanin is fully devoted to her job that she loves wholeheartedly. She has a
strong commitment to achieving natural appearing for each patient and attaining the
best possible surgical outcome while taking care of the patients’ maximum safety.
